SNOW- In Australia?????

Ok, so it didn't actually snow here, but there was snow:)

We found out through some friends that an outdoor shop in Joondalup had set up a snow area for the kids to play on, so we thought we would take a look and see what it was all about.
We arrived and joined the massive queue that had formed, full of families and young children all dressed in winter hats, gloves, ski jackets, you get the picture:) But slowly, slowly the layers started to be peeled off as the sun got warmer and warmer!
We didn't know what we were actually queuing for, so we had a bit of fun while we were waiting!

As we got closer we could see children (and some with parents) coming down a short, 2 slide taboggan slope.

It finally came to our turn to have a go on the 'snow slide' as Jacob and Ollie preferred to call it. Thanks Nik for taking photo's for us:)

It was then the turn of the Swain family.

and then the Moreton family.

It was a lot of fun, it was just a shame that it was over soooo quickly and the queue soooo big that we couldn't go again.

  1. I heard about that on the radio and wondered what it was going to be! What fun, sledding in Perth, not many people can say they've done that!!
