The boys and I get very excited each time we go in to the garden, wondering what is ready to eat next.....
could it be Passionfruit???
Not yet, but it won't be long:)
Could it be figs???
Could it be figs???
Some are ready, but none of us actually eat them:) Thankfully our neighbours and local birds love them!
Could it be Capsicum??? (or sweet peppers for those in the UK)
Yes! I use them regularly, I do forget occasionally and buy them from the supermarket! Since we've started feeding them some organic stuff they've gone crazy!
How about Limes???
Just ready now, the boys love them squeezed in to water! and Gareth and I like them in guacomole along with.....
Green Cayenne Peppers, I tried using the red ones once..... but they were far too hot!!! We do dry them and make them in to chilli flakes and powder, (gives spaghetti bolognaise a nice little kick!) and also to flavour olive oil.
We also have a tree full of olives which are just starting to change colour, I need to find out what to do with them though...
Our favourite at the moment are strawberries:) Jacob just loves them and has to check every day to see if there are any ready. Ollie gets really excited too, and has tried eating them but is still not a fan:( I don't understand how anyone can not like them????

I've also planted a small herb garden, (but I've included a couple of other things too as I had no-where to plant them) We have...

Spinach,

Thyme,
Oregano,

I've also planted a small herb garden, (but I've included a couple of other things too as I had no-where to plant them) We have...
Basil,
Spinach,
Thyme,
Marjoram, (Which doesn't seem to be doing that great)
and I've also put some Beetroot in, but we'll see how that goes.
For one season We had Dill (good with fish for the boys) and Coriander. However, it needs to be replanted each year and I wanted to try something different in their places. (Spinach and Beetroot this time). I've given up on cauliflour, brocolli and tomatoes, they need too much attention! Between slugs, snails and ants I need to use lots of pellets and powder and I forget to top it up when it stops working!
